Feedback, or IT in network control engineering

The implementation of INFOR ERP LN at ZPAS and ZPAS-NET assures that all the areas of the company operations will be handled with a single, coherent and stable IT system. ZPAS expects flexibility of the system guaranteeing its efficient functioning in the future and a possibility of including any company locations, even those remote ones. The solution is to assure an efficient management of all processes at the company, to generate higher profits while reducing costs of manufacture and to increase the ZPAS customer service effectiveness.

The implementation of all the solution elements is aimed at better control over critical areas within the company. The analysis will include departments making the highest profits as well as those generating the highest costs. The full control of profitability regarding the manufactured and sold products, optimum and realistic determining of lead times as well as facilitation of the course of critical processes will considerably improve the company effectiveness.

A selected solution will be implemented at the ZPAS and ZPAS-Net and will include:
an integrated ERP class management support system – INFOR ERP LN in the fields of finance, controlling, sales, procurement, warehouses, production management and planning;
HR and payroll system;
PDM (Product Data Management) application supporting work of the structural department and integration with the CAD application;
INFOR BI application offering sets of reports for the LN solution.

“Having assessed various ERP systems available on the market we chose the one meeting our requirements” – said Piotr Baranowski, Chairman of the Board of ZPAS – “because in terms of flexibility, functionality, efficiency and, most importantly, cost-effectiveness the INFOR ERP LN system definitely outdid all the other ERP systems.”

The implementation has officially begun on 17th January 2007.

The S&T company was selected due to the good functional adjustment of the offered solution to the business specificity of ZPAS. Additional factor was that both the product and S&T implementation team enjoyed a very good reputation among present users of INFOR ERP LN (Baan). The stability, scope of activity and range of competences of S&T in Poland also affected the decision.
