S&T develops the integrated IT system for Polish Banknote Printer

The project covered modifications of the SAP system in the areas of controlling, finances and strategic management. The detailed scope of works to be performed includes: development of a reporting system for simulation of repair and maintenance costs, cash flows and budgeting, capital expenditure classified into plan items and project structure plan (PSP) elements; design of reporting systems and applications to automatically post write-offs for inventory, raw materials, commodities, products and finished goods. Additionally, a new model for managing fixed assets and capital expenditure accounting will be launched. The plan also assumes development of a system reporting completed sale transactions, paid and not paid, classified by product ranges, as well as a module integrating fiscal cash registers with the SAP system.

According to the schedule, it is expected that the project will be completed by January 2010.

PWPW S.A., upon commission of the government institutions, produces banknotes and protected documents, including ID cards, biometric passports, driver's licenses, vehicle registration cards, plastic cards. PWPW S.A. also works on developing electronic services, including: the Sigillum Polish Center of Digital Certification, the Polish Tender Platform, electronic registry office, electronic invoicing systems and digital tachograph. PWPW implemented its SAP system in 2003. In 2007, S&T signed a cooperation and outsourcing agreement with PWPW S.A. Pursuant to its terms, S&T incorporated the IT team previously constituting a part of PWPW Technologie Informatyczne company into its own structures. Since then, S&T has been providing SAP development, modification and maintenance services to PWPW S.A.
