S&T for National ForestsAccording to Magda Taczanowska, Director and Member of the Board of S&T Services Polska Sp. z o.o., who is responsible for Infrastructure Solutions (IS) and service, extension of the contract is just another proof of high efficiency of S&T’s national service network: „We have been storing spare parts at stock at 11 regional branches of S&T, and our engineers – thanks to experience, skills, and modern communication means, like palmtops – can meet client’s expectations laid out in strict SLA, which envisions solving major problems on the next working day after their registration – at the latest”. Service messages from users at State Forests are placed at S&T customer service center, and then passed on to the engineer responsible for the certain place and for service intervention. Due to web access to service calls at S&T customer service center, representatives of IT units at State Forests can monitor progress of repairs on an ongoing basis and assess when IT systems are running at full speed. Organizational units of State Forests have got following equipment at their disposal: HP A180C and HP ProLiant servers, HP DAT tape drives, HP printers, UPS and peripherals. S&T experts have gathered in-depth knowledge of State Forests IT equipment over years of cooperation, have obtained skills and competences to handle different programs and IT equipment, and are able to service systems no longer supported by vendors, like HPUX v. 10.20, or Linux free software. |
