IT SERVICES OF S&T: 15 YEARS WITH PIZZA HUT

Warsaw, 26 March 2008. – As long as 15 years S&T Services Polska Sp. z o.o. has been rendering IT services for hardware and software at all Pizza Hut restaurants in Poland. Despite organizational and formal changes at the restaurant’s chain and at S&T company, the same team of service engineers has been still supporting 38 Pizza Hut restaurants in Poland. The contract, which is among the longest-lasting service contracts at the Polish IT market, has been recently extended for an indefinite period.
Service of S&T Services Polska Sp. z o.o., consisting of 12 branch offices, has been handling computers, servers, monitors, printers, fiscal cash registers, peripherals, and software in 17 Polish cities where Pizza Hut restaurants, owned by AmRest, are located.

According to Przemysław Poppe, IT Director at AmRest, requirements for IT service at restaurants chain are very demanding: „Our restaurants are open from early mornings till late evenings, also on Saturdays and Sundays, and thus servicing clients, issuing and printing bills, registration of transaction continue all day long. Therefore our service has to maintain computer equipment and software up and running, and has to efficiently, without any stoppages, introduce any novelties and updates. S&T experts – previously the company had different name – have been granting such level of service basically since early 1990s, when Pizza Hit brand had been launched in Poland”.

According to Magda Taczanowska, Director and Member of the Board of S&T Services Polska Sp. z o.o., who is responsible for Infrastructure Solutions (IS) and service, 15-year long business relationship proves an exceptional quality of national S&T service network: „Only mutually beneficial relations – also in highly competitive IT industry – can last that long. Thanks to efficient national network of S&T branches, that stay in touch with clients thanks to the Web and modern communication means, like palmtops, we are able to observe very strict SLAs. And it is worth adding, that Pizza Hut began working with us back then we used ICL and Fujitsu Services brands”.

S&T service engineers – in addition to current maintenance of hardware and software – also train IT personnel of AmRest restaurants, assist in launching new solutions and advise when choosing new equipment and software. S&T specialist have had all required certificates and authorizations of software and hardware vendors, that are needed at Pizza Hut restaurants.
Service messages from Pizza Hut chain are sent to S&T customer service center, and then are passed on right away to the engineer responsible for the certain restaurant and for taking appropriate action. Due to Web access to service calls at S&T customer service center, representatives of IT units at Pizza Hut can monitor progress of repairs on an ongoing basis and find out when IT systems are already fixed.
