Outsourcing

Outsourcing is not about simply using external providers that act on the behalf of a given company in certain areas of its operations. According to S&T, outsourcing means granting or sharing the responsibility for control and decision-making between partners during selected business processes. Effective outsourcing requires two-way flow of information, as well as trust and coordination of tasks between the provider and the client.

Therefore, entering into partnership with S&T for outsourced IT projects is a crucial element of an effective management strategy of our clients. S&T offers a broad portfolio of IT outsourcing services, from hardware and software support to financial services to management of all hardware and full IT outsourcing. A typical contract for IT services is usually signed at least for three years.

Partial IT outsourcing
S&T takes over a part of or some selected functions of the client's IT infrastructure. Some examples of partial IT outsourcing include: administration of employees’ PC computers (the central part of the system remains in the client’s hands), implementation of standard software packages, assistance in personnel training, and support in the event of hardware or software failures.

Full IT outsourcing
S&T takes full responsibility for the client’s projects, implementations and IT infrastructure. Full IT outsourcing covers design and adoption of infrastructure for the real needs of clients, implementation of new software versions, employee training, system and network administration, repairing hardware and software failures and other solutions.
There are several factors that decide about the success of outsourcing solutions:
  • adapting to the model of operation and business strategy of a client,
  • specifying clear and measurable goals and projects for outsourcing,
  • experience of the IT partner in terms of such contracts,
  • involvement of the management personnel in the implementation of the project,
  • mutual trust between partners and understanding that the success is always shared.
